Alan W. LaPierre, CPA, MST

Alan LaPierre has been a partner at Coles & Bodoin since 1994 and has been working in the public accounting industry since 1983.  During his tenure, he has provided auditing, accounting, business consulting and tax services to clients involved in various types of business activities including medical and dental practices, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, retail, government contracting, real estate and entertainment.  Alan also has experience with various types of not-for-profit activities including private schools, health care and medical teaching and research foundations.

Alan’s extensive experience includes consulting and advising high net worth individuals and corporate clients on matters related to financial analysis, financing, tax, budgeting, financial projections, business organization, business acquisitions and dispositions, business growth, accounting systems, and maximization and preservation of personal wealth.  Alan has represented clients in audit proceedings with the Internal Revenue Service and various state tax agencies.

James J. Crowley, CPA, MST, MSA

Jim Crowley has been a partner at Coles & Bodoin since 1990 and has been working in the public accounting industry since 1980.  During his tenure he has provided auditing, accounting, business consulting, litigation support and tax services to clients involved in real estate, construction, manufacturing, professional services, telecommunications, wholesale distribution, retail and entertainment.

Jim also has extensive experience in tax and financial planning for professional athletes and entertainers.  He has provided advisory services relating to various tax matters and issues and has represented clients in audit proceedings with the Internal Revenue Service and various state tax agencies.

Frank Constance, CPA, PFS, MST

Frank has over 33 years of experience in the field of public accounting and taxation and has been a partner at Coles & Bodoin since 2003. He holds a Personal Financial Specialist designation. Frank’s experience includes tax compliance, consulting and research for closely-held corporations, small businesses and individual tax clients. He provides estate and financial planning services and has extensive experience dealing with high net worth individuals. He has provided tax and accounting services to clients in a wide range of industries including manufacturing, wholesale distribution, retail, professional services, real estate, government contracting, as well as with non-profit organizations. In addition, Frank has represented clients in audit proceedings with the Internal Revenue Service and the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.

James F. Bodoin, CPA, MST

Jim Bodoin is a former partner and a co-founder of Coles & Bodoin, LLP.  He is semi-retired, but still very active in servicing the firm’s clients on a reduced work schedule.  He has over 45 years of experience in the field of public accounting, during which time he has provided auditing, accounting, business and tax consulting services to clients engaged in various types of business including real estate, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, retail, professional services, entertainment and restaurants.  He also has experience with clients involved in not-for-profit activities including private charitable foundations, public interest organizations, private schools, medical care and research organizations.

Jim’s experience includes consulting and advising clients on matters related to retirement plans and fringe benefits, financing, budgeting, business acquisitions and dispositions, accounting systems and tax-exempt organizations.  He has also provided consulting and advisory services related to various individual and business tax matters and issues and has represented clients in audit proceedings with the Internal Revenue Service and various state tax agencies.

Gerardo E. Ciampa, CPA, MST

Gerry has been with Coles & Bodoin since December 1986 and currently oversees the audit and assurance practice within the firm.  Gerry has extensive accounting, audit and financial statement experience and has worked on a wide variety of commercial and non-profit clients.  Gerry generates and maintains policies and procedures for the firm’s quality control and peer review for financial statement engagements.  Gerry hold an advanced degree in taxation, which allows him to recognize tax issues while primary focusing on the financial statement aspects of an engagement.  He has been especially commended by many clients for his interpersonal skills and awareness of their needs.

Michael H. Fields, CPA, MSA

Mike has been with Coles & Bodoin since October 2011 after spending the first five years of his career with Deloitte Tax LLP in their Private Client Advisors Group.  He has provided individual and business entity tax compliance, planning and consulting services to clients in a wide range of areas including gift and estate tax planning, equity compensation, private equity, hedge funds and real estate development and management.  In addition, Mike has significant experience representing clients in audit proceedings with the Internal Revenue Service and various state tax agencies.

Michelle O’Connell, CPA, CFP, MST

Michelle has been with Coles & Bodoin since February 2017 after spending 26 years with Deloitte Tax LLP where she served as director in their Private Client Advisors Group and the firm’s Northeast Regional Individual Income Tax Competency Leader.  Michelle has extensive knowledge in consulting with affluent individuals and closely held business owners.  In addition, she has expertise in individual and gift & estate tax planning and compliance.  Over the years, Michelle has managed large individual and trust engagements.  Michelle’s client base is composed of corporate executives, professionals, small business owners and high net worth family groups.
